The Arab Republic of Egypt is a country located in the northeast corner of Africa, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aqaba. It is the most populous country in the Middle East and the 15th most populous in the world. Egypt is a member of the United Nations, the Arab League, the African Union, and the Non-Aligned Movement. It is also a founding member of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the World Trade Organization.
