He was the chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), and co-founder of Apple Inc., and is widely recognized as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields. Jobs was also the founder of NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher education and business markets.
