Luis Aparicio was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 1984. He was a Venezuelan professional baseball player who played for the Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles, and Boston Red Sox during his 18-year career. Aparicio was known for his outstanding defensive skills, winning nine Gold Glove Awards and setting a record for most career stolen bases. He was the first Latin American player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
