The Tate Britain in London is the oldest of the four galleries and focuses on British art from 1500 to the present day. The Tate Liverpool is located in the Albert Dock and displays international modern and contemporary art. The Tate St Ives in Cornwall is dedicated to modern and contemporary art from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Turner Contemporary in Margate is dedicated to the work of J.M.W. Turner and other British artists.
