Sir Anthony Hopkins is a Welsh actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in the 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. He has also starred in many other films, including The Mask of Zorro, Thor, and The Remains of the Day. He has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the performing arts.
