The Annunciation Prayer, also known as the Angelus, is a traditional Catholic prayer commemorating the annunciation of the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary. It is said three times a day during the liturgical season of Advent and Lent. The prayer consists of three parts: the first part is a recitation of the angel's words to Mary, the second part is a reflection on the mystery of the Incarnation, and the third part is a petition for Mary's intercession.
