The term 'Annapurna' is a combination of two words: 'ANNA' meaning 'FOOD' and 'purna' meaning 'FULL'. It is a mountain massif located in Nepal, consisting of a series of PEAKS that reach an elevation of 8, 091 meters (26, 545 feet). The Annapurna Massif is part of the Himalayan range and is the tenth highest mountain in the world. It is also the most dangerous of the eight-thousanders, with a fatality rate of 32%.
