An animator sheet is a type of animation used in the production of cartoons and other animated films. It is a transparent sheet of celluloid, or CEL, which has been painted on one side with a scene from the film. The CEL is then placed over a background image and photographed to create the illusion of movement. Animator sheets are used to create the illusion of motion by having the characters move across the screen.
