Matt Groening is an American animator, cartoonist, and producer. He is best known for creating the animated sitcoms The Simpsons and Futurama. Groening first began his career in animation in the late 1970s, and he has since become one of the most successful animators in the world. He has won numerous awards for his work, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for The Simpsons.
