An animation sheet is a piece of paper containing a sequence of images used in the production of animated films. It is also known as a 'CEL', which is an acronym for celluloid, the material on which the images were originally painted. The cels are then photographed one at a time to create the illusion of movement. Animation sheets are used in traditional hand-drawn animation, as well as in computer-generated animation.
