Dana Andrews was an American actor who starred in films such as The Best Years of Our Lives and Laura. He was born in Covington, Mississippi in 1909 and died in 1992. He was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. His partner in many films was fellow actor Sidney Poitier, with whom he co-starred in the 1957 film Edge of the City. Andrews also starred alongside Julie Andrews in the 1964 musical Mary Poppins. Andrews and Wynter (4 letters) was a production company founded by Andrews and his business partner, producer Robert Wynter, in the late 1950s. The company produced several films, including The Long Gray Line and The Fastest Gun Alive.
