Andrew Lloyd Webber is an English composer and impresario of musical theatre. He is known for his musicals such as Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Phantom of the Opera, and School of Rock. He has composed 13 musicals, a song cycle, a set of variations, two film scores, and a Latin Requiem Mass. He has received numerous awards, including a knighthood in 1992, followed by a peerage from the British Government for services to Music.
