The Andalusian poet, Federico García Lorca, was a Spanish poet, playwright, and theatre director. He was born in Fuente Vaqueros, Granada, and is considered one of the most important figures in Spanish literature. His works often focused on the themes of death, love, and violence, and he was a major influence on the Surrealist movement. He was assassinated during the Spanish Civil War in 1936.
