Simon and Garfunkel were an American folk rock duo from the 1960s. They are best known for their hits 'The Sound of Silence', 'Mrs. Robinson', and 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. The duo was composed of singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel. They achieved commercial success in the late 1960s and early 1970s, becoming one of the best-selling music groups of the era. Their music was featured in several films, including The Graduate and Catch-22. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
