Ancient Writing System is a term used to describe the writing systems used by ancient civilizations. Two of the most well-known ancient writing systems are Cuneiform and Linear A. Cuneiform is an ancient writing system developed by the Sumerians in Mesopotamia around 3200 BC. It was written on clay tablets using a wedge-shaped stylus and was used for a variety of purposes, including record keeping, literature, and religious texts. Linear A is an ancient writing system used by the Minoans in Crete from around 1800 BC. It was written on clay tablets using a linear script and was mainly used for administrative purposes.
