The Comitia was an ancient Roman assembly that was made up of citizens who were eligible to vote. It was the main legislative body in the Roman Republic and was responsible for passing laws, electing magistrates, and declaring war. The Comitia was divided into three parts: the Centuriata, the Curiata, and the Tributa. The Centuriata was composed of citizens organized by wealth, the Curiata was composed of citizens organized by tribe, and the Tributa was composed of citizens organized by age.
