The Ancient Nile City was a major hub of activity in the ancient world. Thebes, Luxor, CAIRO, Meroe, and ASP were all cities located along the Nile River in Egypt. Thebes was the capital of the New Kingdom of Egypt and was known for its grand temples and monuments. Luxor was an important religious center and home to the Karnak Temple Complex. CAIRO was the largest city in the region and was a major trading center. Meroe was a kingdom located in what is now Sudan and was known for its ironworking. ASP was a small town located near the first cataract of the Nile.
