The Ancient Greek craft of TRIREME was a type of warship used by the Greeks in the 5th century BC. It was a long, narrow vessel with three banks of oars, and was propelled by up to 170 rowers. It was designed for speed and maneuverability, and was used for both naval warfare and transport. Triremes were also used in the Persian Wars, and were instrumental in the victory of the Greeks over the Persians.
