An ambulance crew member is a person who works on an ambulance and is responsible for providing medical care to patients in emergency situations. The term can refer to a paramedic, who has specialized training and is responsible for providing advanced life support, or a ROWER, who is responsible for operating the vehicle and transporting patients to the hospital. An OAR is a tool used by a ROWER to propel the ambulance, and rowing is the act of using an OAR to move the ambulance.
