Robert Altman was an American film DIRECTOR, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his films 'Images', 'Popeye', 'Theo', 'Gosford Park' and 'MASH'. 'Images' is a 1972 psychological thriller starring Susannah York and Rene Auberjonois. 'Popeye' is a 1980 musical comedy film based on the comic strip of the same name. 'Theo' is a 1981 drama film starring Robert Urich and Melinda Dillon. 'Gosford Park' is a 2001 British mystery film set in 1932. Lastly, 'MASH' is a 1970 black comedy war film set during the Korean War. Altman was nominated for five Academy Awards and won one for Lifetime Achievement.
