Alpha Phi Alpha, E.G. is a historically African-American fraternity founded in 1906 at Cornell University. It is the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African-American men. The organization has over 700 chapters across the United States and abroad, and its members are known as 'Alphas'. The term FRAT is an abbreviation for fraternity, which is a social organization of male students at a college or university.
