The term ALAIN can refer to four different people: Alain Prost, a French racing driver; Alain Locke, an American philosopher and writer; Alain Lesage, a French playwright; and Alain Resnais, a French film director. Prost is a four-time Formula One World Champion, while Locke was the first African American Rhodes Scholar and is known for his work on the New Negro movement. Lesage is best known for his plays, such as 'Le Joueur de Quilles' and 'Le Diable Boiteux', while Resnais is known for his films, such as 'Hiroshima Mon Amour' and 'Last Year at Marienbad'.
