Al Kaline was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. He was a right fielder for the Detroit Tigers from 1953 to 1974 and was known for his strong arm and batting ability. Kaline was a 15-time All-Star, 10-time Gold Glove winner, and the 1968 American League batting champion. He was also the first Tiger to have his number retired by the team. Kaline was inducted into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
