An airplane is composed of many different parts, each of which has a specific purpose. The CABIN is the area where passengers and crew are seated and is typically located at the front of the plane. Ailerons are hinged control surfaces located on the wings that help to control the roll of the aircraft. The NOSE is the front part of the plane and is often pointed or rounded. Wings are the main lifting surfaces of the aircraft and are typically located on either side of the fuselage. A PROP, or PROPELLER, is a rotating airfoil that provides thrust for the aircraft. Struts are structural members that provide support for the wings and other parts of the plane. The PROPELLER is connected to the engine and spins to generate thrust. Finally, the TAIL is the rear portion of the aircraft and is typically composed of a vertical stabilizer and two horizontal stabilizers.
