The African mountain range known as the ATLAS is located in the northwestern region of the continent and is the highest mountain range in Africa. The highest peak in the range is Mount Toubkal, which stands at 4, 167 meters. The other African mountain, Kilimanjaro, is located in Tanzania and is the highest mountain in Africa, standing at 5, 895 meters. It is an inactive volcano and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.
