The African Coney, also known as the Rock Hyrax or DASSIE (6 letters), is a small mammal native to Africa and the Middle East. It is the only living species in the order Hyracoidea and is closely related to elephants, sea cows, and manatees. The African Coney is a small, rotund animal with short legs and a short tail. It has thick fur that is usually grayish-brown in color. It is an herbivore, feeding mainly on grasses, leaves, and fruits. It is also known for its loud vocalizations, which can be heard from up to a mile away.
