The Oresteia is a trilogy of plays written by the ancient Greek playwright Aeschylus. It consists of three plays: Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and The Eumenides. The trilogy tells the story of the House of Atreus, beginning with Agamemnon's return from the Trojan War and ending with the trial of Orestes for the murder of his mother Clytemnestra. The trilogy is considered to be one of the greatest works of classical Greek tragedy.
