Dan Savage is an American author, media pundit, journalist, and advice columnist. He is best known for his political and social commentary, as well as his advice column 'Savage Love'. Savage has been writing the column since 1991 and it is syndicated in over 50 newspapers across the United States and Canada. He is also the author of several books, including the New York Times bestseller 'The Commitment: Love, Sex, Marriage, and My Family'. Savage is a vocal advocate for LGBT rights and same-sex marriage.
