Edie Adams was an American actress, singer, and comedian. She is best known for her role as the second wife of television's Ernie Kovacs, and for her portrayal of Miss Emily in the film version of the musical 'Bye Bye Birdie'. Adams was also a successful businesswoman, owning a nightclub and a production company. She was married to Robert K. Adams, a lawyer and businessman, from 1954 until his death in 1985. Adams and McClurg were both members of the cast of the Broadway musical 'Li'l Abner' in 1956.
