Molly Ringwald is an American actress, singer, and author. She is best known for her roles in the John Hughes films Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink. Ringwald was born in Roseville, California, and began her career appearing in a stage production of Annie at the age of three. She went on to become a successful child actress, appearing in numerous television shows and films throughout the 1980s. Ringwald has since continued to act in both film and television, as well as writing books and performing music.
