Dina Merrill is an American actress, philanthropist, and socialite. She was born in New York City in 1923 and began her career as a stage actress in the 1940s. She went on to appear in numerous films and television shows throughout her career, including Operation Petticoat, Desk Set, and Butterfield 8. Merrill was also a successful businesswoman, serving as the president of RKO Pictures and chairwoman of the board of E.F. Hutton. She was married three times and had three children. Merrill passed away in 2017 at the age of 93.
