Marla Gibbs is an American actress, comedian, singer, writer, and television producer. She is best known for her role as Florence Johnston in the long-running NBC sitcom The Jeffersons, and as Mary Jenkins on the CBS sitcom 227. Gibbs has also appeared in films such as How to Be a Player and The Meteor Man. She has been nominated for several awards, including an Emmy Award and two NAACP Image Awards.
