Esther Rolle was an American actress best known for her role as Florida Evans on the CBS television sitcom Maude and its spin-off series Good Times. Her first name, Esther, is also the name of a Jewish holiday, Purim, which celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people from Haman's plot to exterminate them in the ancient Persian Empire. Esther Muir was an American film actress who appeared in over 50 films between 1930 and 1945. She was also known for her roles in the films Auntie Mame and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. ADAR is a month in the Jewish calendar, and is the sixth month of the year in the Hebrew calendar. It is the month in which Purim is celebrated.
