Ellen DeGeneres is an American actress, comedian, television host, and producer. She began her career as a stand-up comedian in the 1980s before gaining fame for her role as Ellen Morgan on the sitcom Ellen. She has since starred in several films and hosted her own talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, since 2003. DeGeneres has won numerous awards for her work, including 30 Emmy Awards and 20 People's Choice Awards.
