Actress Claudia McNeil was an American stage, film and television actress. She is best known for her Tony Award-winning performance in the original Broadway production of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. She also appeared in the 1961 film adaptation of the play, as well as the 1988 television remake. McNeil was a founding member of the American Negro Theatre and was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame in 2006.
