Sara Allgood is an Irish actress who was born in Dublin in 1880. She is best known for her roles in films such as How Green Was My Valley, The Plough and the Stars, and Juno and the Paycock. She also appeared in stage productions of plays by William Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw. Allgood was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in How Green Was My Valley. She died in 1950 at the age of 70.
