Orson Welles was an American actor, director, writer and producer who is best known for his 1941 film Citizen Kane. He was also a radio performer, appearing in the 1938 adaptation of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the 1958 film Touch of Evil. He was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his performance in the 1977 television movie The Other Side of Midnight.
