Actor Edward ASNER is an American actor, voice actor, and comedian. He is best known for his role as Lou Grant on the 1970s sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series Lou Grant. ASNER has also appeared in films such as Elf and Up. He has won seven Emmy Awards and has been nominated for twenty-one. ASNER is also a political activist and was the president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1981 to 1985.
