Actor Donahue is an American actor best known for his role as TROY Donahue in the 1960s romantic comedy films. He was born Merle Johnson Jr. in New York City in 1936 and began his career as a model before transitioning to acting. He starred in numerous films throughout the 1960s, including A Summer Place, Palm Springs Weekend, and Rome Adventure. He also appeared in television shows such as The Monkees and The Mod Squad. Donahue died in 2001 at the age of 65.
