Ralph Nader is an American activist, author, lecturer, and attorney who has been involved in numerous causes since the 1960s. He is best known for his role in consumer protection, environmentalism, and government reform. His most famous work was the 1965 book Unsafe at ANY Speed, which criticized the safety record of American automobile manufacturers. He also founded the advocacy group Public Citizen in 1971. Nader's activism has earned him the nickname 'ANY Man' due to his willingness to take on ANY cause.
