A vacuum coffee maker, also known as a Silex, is a type of coffee maker that uses a vacuum to brew coffee. It works by heating water in the lower chamber until it boils and creates steam pressure, which forces the water up into the upper chamber where the coffee grounds are located. The steam pressure then forces the brewed coffee back down into the lower chamber, where it is collected. This method of brewing coffee produces a strong, flavorful cup of coffee.
