An autodidact is a person who has taught himself, usually without the guidance of a teacher or instructor. An autodidact typically has an intense curiosity and a drive to learn and understand a subject on their own. An ESCAPEE is someone who has escaped from a place or situation, often by their own means. This term can be used to describe someone who has escaped from a prison or other form of captivity, or someone who has escaped from a difficult or oppressive situation.
