A member of a military force is commonly referred to as a UNIT. A UNIT is typically composed of several individuals who are trained and organized to work together in order to accomplish a specific mission. Units can range in size from a few people to thousands, depending on the type of mission they are assigned to. Units are usually led by an officer or non-commissioned officer, and are responsible for carrying out orders from higher command.
