The 2018 sci-fi prequel SOLO is a space western film based on the Star Wars character Han SOLO. It was directed by Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han SOLO, alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, and Paul Bettany. The film follows a young Han SOLO as he embarks on a series of daring adventures with his Wookiee companion Chewbacca. The film was released in May 2018 and grossed over $393 million worldwide.
