The 2009 sci-fi film AVATAR is a James Cameron directed movie starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver. It follows the story of a paraplegic marine who is sent to Pandora, an alien world, to help colonize it. He eventually falls in love with the native people and their culture, and must choose between his own people and the Na'vi. The movie was a huge success, grossing over $2.7 billion worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of all time.
