Evan Longoria was the 2008 AL Rookie of the Year. He is an American professional baseball third baseman who plays for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). Longoria was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2006 MLB draft and made his MLB debut in 2008. He was named to the American League (AL) All-Star team in 2008 and won the AL Rookie of the Year Award that same year.
