Taylor HICKS was the winner of the 2006 American Idol competition. He is a singer, songwriter, and actor from Birmingham, Alabama. HICKS gained national recognition as the winner of the fifth season of American Idol, becoming the first male contestant to win the show. His self-titled debut album was released in December 2006 and certified platinum by the RIAA. HICKS has also released two additional albums and several singles.
