Tony Pena was the 2003 American League Manager of the Year. He was a former Major League Baseball catcher and manager who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. Pena was the manager of the Kansas City Royals from 2002 to 2005 and led them to their first winning season in 10 years in 2003. His success earned him the 2003 AL Manager of the Year award.
