The 2001 NBA MVP was Allen Iverson, a seven-letter name. Iverson was an American professional basketball player who played for 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected as the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. During his career, Iverson was an 11-time NBA All-Star, won the All-Star game MVP award in 2001, and was the NBA's Most Valuable Player that same year.
