In 1994, Yasser ARAFAT, Shimon Peres, and Yitzhak Rabin were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in negotiating the Oslo Accords. ARAFAT was a Palestinian leader and the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), while Peres was an Israeli statesman who served as Prime Minister of Israel twice and President of Israel once. The term 1994 Peace Co-Nobelists refers to these three men.
